St. John’s College Easter Festival fixtures 2014

By Hannes Nienaber , in Rugby | News , at 2014-02-10

St. John’s College of Johannesburg’s annual Easter Festival could be the pick of the festivals held over Easter in the City of Gold. Some of South Africa’s top school teams Waterkloof of Pretoria, Paarl Boys’ High, Paul Roos Gimnasium of Stellenbosch and Nelspruit will all be in action.

Two international schools were included for the 2014-edition of the Easter Festival. They are Scots College of Australia and St. John’s College of Zimbabwe. Scots College which is situated in Sydney produced former Wallabies like Ken Catchpole, Tim Gavin, Tom Bowman, John Solomon and Warwick Waugh amongst others. St. John’s College of Harare has been a regular attendee at the festival.

Last year the clash between Waterkloof and Paarl Boys’ High on the final day of the festival was one of the highlights of the festival. This year the two teams won’t clash at the festival, but the match between Waterkloof and Paul Roos Gimnasium on the second day promises to be a cracker.
