Coca-Cola Craven Week Fixtures for 2014
The unofficial champions of the Coca-Cola Craven Week in Polokwane, Western Province will play the hosting Pumas in the main match of the first day of the 2014 edition of the tournament in Middelburg. HTS Middelburg will host this 51st edition of the world’s biggest school rugby tournament.
South Western Districts and KwaZulu-Natal will face each other in the main curtain raiser for the main match on the opening day. The winners of these two matches will mostly likely play each other on the third day of the tournament. The Griffons play Border in their match on the first day. The team from the Northern Free State is the most successful team at the Coca-Cola Craven Week since 2011 in Kimberley. They haven’t lost a match since then, with their only blemish over the three years a 37-all draw against the Valke at this year’s tournament.
The Lions and Free State will take each other on in the main match of the second day of the tournament. The Lions have played in the main match of the tournament for three years in a row now. They will aim to reach their fourth main match in succession next year in Middelburg. The Blue Bulls and Eastern Province will meet in the curtain raiser for this match.
Western Province and Free State played each other in the main match of the Grant Khomo Week (for u16 players) in 2012 – so the two teams will be in the top teams again next year in Middelburg.
