Holy Saturday saw the opening of the Maritzburg College Festival which is part of the great school’s 150th birthday celebrations. There are two reports on each match, one in Afrikaans and one in English.
Wedstryd 1: Hoërskool Noord-Kaap vs Jeppe High School for Boys
Hoërskool Noord-Kaap het sy huidiglike naam eers in 1987 gekry, die skool was voorheen bekend as Noord-Kaapland Technical College (1943-1975) en Commercial High School (1976). Die skool het tans meer as 1000 leerlinge en het al verskeie leerders gehad wat Suid-Afrika op junior vlak verteenwoordig het.

The KwaZulu Natal Rugby Union held its first schools day at Kings Park on Wednesday, the Top Schools Rugby Festival, with 10 schools taking part.
Run on the same lines as the Western Province Schools Day has been run, there were five matches of 40 minutes each.
