  1. André Venter made the SA Schools’ side in 1989 after representing Transvaal at the Craven Week in Johannesburg. He then moved to Grey College in Bloemfontein and represented the SA Schools’ team again in 1990 and 1991 making him one of only four players in the history of this prestigious week to achieve this feat. Venter is the younger brother of Springbok and Monnas old-boy, Brendan Venter.
  2. Jako van der Walt was selected for the South African Schools side after the conclusion of the Coca-Cola Craven Week of 2011 in Kimberley. Van der Walt also arrived at the camp before the international series but was sent home before being capped due to the fact that he was injured.
  3. PJ Uys who made the SA Schools side back in 2008 featuring in a loose-trio of CJ Stander (captain) and Helmut Lehmann kept future World Cup-winning captain Siyamthanda Kolisi out of the starting line-up. Uys also took part in the popular Afrikaans reality show, Boer Soek ‘n Vrou, after he left school.
