Results of the Provincial u19-competition – 9 August 2014

Western Province u19 flyhalf, Ernst Stapelberg, contributed 16 points with his trusty boot against his former province Eatern Province in his side’s 38-10 victory at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Port Elizabeth on Friday. Stapelberg is a product of Framesby in the Windy City. 

Western Province is the only unbeaten side left in the ABSA provincial u19-competition. Stapelberg is the top point scorer with 70 points in his side’s four matches thus far. 

The former South African Schools flyhalf, Dewald Human, was the star in the Blue Bulls 36-11 victory over the Lions at Ellis Park in Johannesburg. Human scored 21 points which included two tries, four conversions and a penalty goal. The winger, Jinxi Molapo, also scored a brace of tries against the Lions. 

The Free State recorded an important 26-18 victory over the Leopards at Olën Park in Potchefstroom. The team from Bloemfontein lead 7-5 at the break. Their replacement fullback, Arno van Staden, scored twice after replacing Sechaba Matsoele in the 24th minute of the match.  

Leopards winger, Ray van der Lith, also completed a brace of tries just before the final whistle.
