Glenwood winning continues, worrying times for Hillcrest High
The champions of the Mancosa KwaZulu-Natal High Schools Football Association (KZNHSFA) Coastal A-League for 2023 and 2024, Glenwood, appear to be functioning like a well-oiled machine following a challenging 2025 season.
This year, the Green Machine has played three league matches and won all three, with their most recent victory being a 2-0 win over Hillcrest High, the runner-up to Westville Boys’ High in the 2025 Coastal A-League on Tuesday.

Ukwazi Dludla kept his goal-scoring streak going of scoring in every game this season, while Glenwood captain Ndalo Mbatha played his part by also slotting in the first half.
It was a third successive loss for Hillcrest, whose defence has been solid enough – they’ve conceded five goals in three matches – but they’ve yet to score this season.
Northwood found the going tough in Kimberley at the Absa Wildeklawer Soccer Tournament, where they, together with Maritzburg College, lost all their group matches. The Knights had an opportunity to get back on the winning track against Pinetown Boys’ High but had to settle for a share of the points.
A goal from Benjamin van Huyssteen was enough to secure a 1-1 draw, which kept Northwood in the running near the top of the table after they won their first two matches of the league season.
Westville Boys’ High, who suffered a loss to Glenwood last week, made a strong comeback with a 2-0 victory over Bechet, while Durban High School (DHS) also won 2-0, beating Port Shepstone High.
