Sharks to face Griffons and Pumas in warm-up matches for the Craven Week
The Sharks High Schools Association is hosting a fundraiser event, in which they host teams from the Griffons and Pumas in preparation for the various youth weeks that will be taking place over the next month.
This event over the weekend will provide the coaches and players an opportunity to spend some more time together and work out their final niggles before the provincial competitions begin.
In the final match of the weekend, the Sharks Craven Week team will be playing against the Puma Craven Week team as a curtain-raiser before the Currie Cup semi-final between the Cell C Sharks and the Airlink Pumas which will be a special opportunity for the boys.
It will be interesting to see how the Griffons Craven Week team stack up against the Sharks on Friday, having already competed as a group twice before.
They played against the Free State Academy team at the Free State Bondedag, winning 27 -19, before coming up short 41-8 against the Free State Craven Week team at the Griqua Bondedag the following week.
