SA Rugby’s Academy Week kicks off this Monday at Jeppe
The u18 Academy Week kicks off on Monday at Jeppe in Johannesburg where the provincial Academy teams will compete over the course of three days for a spot in the main game on Thursday and the chance to be selected for the SA Academy team.

The final match of the first day will be a big jukskei derby when the Lions take on the Bulls.
The team from the Free State looks like one of the favourites going into the competition.
Made up of mostly Grey College players, just like their Craven Week counterparts, the Free State academy team already beat the Griqua Craven Week team at the Kimberley Bondedag earlier in preparation for this event.

Day 1 fixtures:
Collard field: 09:00 – SWD vs Pumas; 10:15 – Western Province vs Eastern Province; 11:30 – Free State vs Griffons; 12:45 – Sharks vs Boland; 14:30 – Golden Lions vs Bulls.
White field: 09:00 – Border Country District vs LSEN XV; 10:15 – Valke vs Namibia; 11:30 – Griquas vs Zimbabwe; 12:45 – Leopards vs Limpopo; 14:30 – Sharks XV vs Border.
