Results from Day 2 of the St John’s College Easter Festival
Florida gave Affies fright on the second day of the Standard Bank St John’s College Easter Festival in Johannesburg. Affies secured their 28-24 victory with less than two minutes left on the clock.
Their fullback, Heinrich Bisschoff, slided over in the righthand corner to secure the victory only four minutes after their No. 8, Philip Potgieter, chrashed over.
Florida’s winger Maxwill van Louw scored from an intercept from within in his 22 to give his side a 24-18 lead with just a few minutes lef in the match. Affies had to dig deep to win the match in the end.
Nelspruit didn’t experience too much trouble in beating Eye of the Tiger 46-0 in their second match of the Easter Festival. Their scrumhalf, Riehandre van der Merwe, scored a brace of tries.
Parktown Boys’ High also bagged a convincing victory of 36-0 over St John’s College of Harare.
