Results – Day 3 – King Edward VII Easter Festival 2018
Ben Vorster bagged a last-gasp victory of 27-26 over Marlow Landbou on the third and final day of the King Edward VII Easter Festival in Johannesburg thanks to a penalty by centre DJ du Preez.
Marlow Landbou led 14-12 at the break and extended their lead to 26-12 before Ben Vorster started their comeback.
Marvin Pietersen was the hero for Eldoraigne as they came out victorious 36-19 against Marais Viljoen of Alberton on the final day of the Standard Bank King Edward VII Easter Festival in Johannesburg.
Pietersen scored four of his side’s six tries from fullback. There wasn’t a lot to choose between the two teams in the first half. The score was deadlocked at 12-all at the break.
Westville Boys’ High held on for a 22-20 victory over Noordheuwel of Krugersdorp. The boys from Durban build up a comfortable 17-3 lead by half-time. Their captain and outside centre, Dylan Labuschagne, scored his side’s only points of the second half when he went over for a try.
Noordheuwel had a chance late in the match to snatch victory but centre Renier Stander missed the penalty goal attempt.
