NewsGQueensCollege1Queen’s College has been on quite the rampage this year, winning a large majority of their many games. It is no surprise then that Queens has many of their players taking part in Craven Week.

Queens has an impressive seven players joining the Border team for Craven Week, these players are Abulele Boltini, Sbongakonke Mfeya, Kyle Alwin, Turshaan Hare, Lwanele Gaba, Jed Stone and Thina Fenako. Thina Jaxa, who plays for Queens 1st team, took part in Craven Week last year.

Queens also has two squad members, Mbasa Nda and Ryan Denston, taking part in this years Academy Week.

It is no wonder that such a powerhouse squad has taken so many victories this season, including their 22-0 defeat of Die Brandwag, their 75-14 win over Stirling, a 46-3 defeat over Port Rex and two wins over Hundson Park at 27-7 and 18-13.

Queens is going to put up a solid fight on Saturday.

St Andrew’s have earned some accolades of their own this season, they have taken six victories against some tough competition.

St Andrew’s started their season with a 24-3 defeat over Stirling. Later on, in a highly competitive game against Graeme College, they managed to take the win with a one point difference at 24-23.

Most recently, St Andrew’s defeated Selborne College with a final score of 26-13. This was no small feat, as Selborne have shown that they can maul the competition.

Both schools will bring top rugby on Saturday, and Queens will surely have a few tricks up their sleeve just as we’ve seen in their last few games. It will definitely be some entertaining rugby, but only one side can walk away as champions. Only time will tell.
