Outeniqua u17 Sevens tournament fixtures have been announced
The fixtures for the Hoërskool Outeniqua u17 Frogfoot Sevens Tournament have been announced, and it promises a weekend filled with exciting sevens rugby as 10 schools travel to George to compete in the quicker format of the game after the conclusion of the regular winter sports season.

The hosts have two invitational teams defending their honour as hosts while their first-stringer group is competing at the NWU Prestige Schools u17 Sevens Tournament in Potchefstroom.
Still, after a very successful season, the Kwaggas should be among the favourites to take the spoils this weekend, along with their visitors from Gqeberha, Grey High School.
That said, the likes of Strand, Montagu and Hoërskool Punt will feel like they have more of an edge in the sevens game and could cause some upsets over the weekend.
This tournament will also be a good indication of what to expect from the participating schools’ first teams over the coming seasons, as these boys are sure to make their way into those squads next year.
After the group fixtures have been completed on Saturday, knockout stages will begin to determine the final ranking.

Friday: 15:00 – Outeniqua Invitational vs Union; 15:20 – Marlow Landbou vs Montagu; 15:40 – Sao Bras vs York; 16:20 – Grey High vs George High; 16:40 – Hoërskool Punt vs Kwagga Invitational; 17:00 – Bridgeton vs Strand.
Saturday: 08:00 – Outeniqua Invitational vs Sao Bras; 08:20 – Marlow Landbou vs York; 08:40 – Union vs Montagu; 09:00 – Grey High vs Bridgeton; 09:20 – Hoërskool Punt vs Strand; 09:40 – George High vs Kwagga Invitational; 10:20 – Sao Bras vs Union; 10:40 – York vs Montagu; 11:00 – Outeniqua Invitational vs Marlow; 11:20 – Bridgeton vs George High; 11:40 – Strand vs Kwagga Invitational; 12:00 – Grey High vs Hoërskool Punt.
