St Andrew’s College had a memorable win last Saturday when they made a last-minute comeback to defeat Queen’s College 13-11.

St Andy’s showed their determination, the same determination they will bring this Saturday to end things on a high note before the break.

It was not only their matchup against Queen’s that saw St Andrew’s take the win, but their two prior games as well. They earned a 41-19 win over Hudson Park shortly followed by their 26-13 defeat of Selborne College.

It is hard to say who are the favourites going into this game, with Kingswood having a phenomenal season of their own.

In fact, if Kingswood College is victorious on Saturday, it will be their twelfth win of the season. It will also be their sixth consecutive win.

Aside from their long list of triumphs, including beating Dale College by 22-0 in their last matchup and Mary Waters by 44-5 just before that, Kingswood also has three players representing their school as part of the Eastern Province u18 Craven Week team.

Tadiwa Chikutiro, Sinengomso Brawen and Phikolomzi Petse will all take the field during Craven Week to showcase Kingswood’s rugby talent.

They find great strength in their teamwork, pace and ability to think quickly and adapt in high pressure situations.

This should be a great fixture and warm up before the provincial rivalry begins.
