Grey College books appointment with Hamilton in World Schools final

Grey College of Bloemfontein scraped through to the final of the World Schools Festival in Thailand.

The team from the City of Roses managed to secure a 14-11 victory over Welsh champions, Cardiff & Vale, thanks to a last-gasp try by replacement hooker, Emile McGeer.

Grey will face New Zealand champions, Hamilton Boys’ High in the final of the tournament.

Grey College 14 (7) – Tries: Pieter van der Merwe, Emile McGeer. Conversions: Ian van der Merwe (2). Cardiff & Vale 11 (3) – Try: Dylan Lewis. Penalty: Tom Hughes. Drop Goal: Hughes.

Hamilton Boys’ High 14 (7) – Tries: Caelys Putoko, Mitch Swann. Conversion: Wyndham Patuawa (2). Millfield School 0.
