Durban High School claim first title of the High School 7’s Series of 2023

Durban High School was crowned champions of the second leg of the High School 7’s Series hosted by Glenwood in Durban.

DHS defeated Westville Boys’ High by 21-19 in the final of the tournament. These two sides also met in the first match of the series which was won handsomely (26-10) by Westville Boys’ High.

Westville knocked out the hosts, Glenwood, with a convincing 33-5 victory in the semi-final. DHS booked their place in the final by beating Northwood by 14-5.

Westville Boys’ High was crowned champions of the u15-tournament after defeating DHS by 31-12 in the age-group final.

DHS have not only secured the title but also a spot in the Champion of Champions tournament that will be hosted during the weekend of 13 & 14 October.

Durban High School will host the third leg of the tournament this coming weekend, while Lilyfontein High School will also host a tournament in the series in East London this Saturday.
