Cravenweeku18 LogoWestern Province will have to walk a far tougher path if they want to reach the main match of the Coca-Cola Craven Week for a third consecutive year. The team will kick off their onslaught to bag their third consecutive title against the Pumas on the opening day of the tournament in Johannesburg next year.

Unlike this year they have been placed in the same grouping as the Blue Bulls and Golden Lions. This means that WP will most likely meet the winner of the match between the Blue Bulls and KwaZulu-Natal or the victorious side of the main match on the first day between the Golden Lions and Border in their second match.

Free State, usually one of the powerhouses at the Craven Week, will lock horns with Boland in their opening encounter on the second day of the tournament in the City of Gold. The Free Staters is most likely to face the winners of the match between South Western Districts and Eastern Province in their second encounter if they manage to beat Boland.

It wil be the first time since 2006 that the tournament will be hosted in Johannesburg. The City of Gold also played host in 1974 and 1989.

The fixtures:

Day 1: Griffons vs. Griqualand West Coutnry Districts; Limpopo Blue Bulls vs. Border Country Districts; Free State vs. Boland; Western Province vs. Pumas; Golden Lions vs. Border.
