Absa Wildeklawer of 2025 promises to be the biggest yet
The annual Absa Wildeklawer tournament for 2025 is jumbo packed with schoolboy rugby clashes for the connoisseur.
The main event of the u19 rugby festival will take place from Wednesday, 30 April until Saturday, 3 May.
All the action will be brought live to your screens once again by SuperSport Schools (www.supersportschools.com).
The main match on the opening day will be one of the clashes of 2025 with Paul Roos Gimnasium taking on the Afrikaanse Hoër Seunskool of Pretoria. The main curtain raiser will be between the hosts, Diamantveld, and Waterkloof of Pretoria.
Nico Malan of Humansdorp will also make their debut on the opening day as they will take on Glenwood of Durban.
The main match on the second day will see Grey College facing Helpmekaar of Johannesburg. The rugby factory of Bloemfontein’s second match will be against Garsfontein on the final day. Both these matches will provide their fair share of fireworks.
Paarl Gimnasium will have an interesting encounter against Northwood. Their headmaster, Paul Viljoen‘s, previous job was as headmaster of Northwood. The Gimmies could be one of the top teams in the country with stars like Markus Muller (centre) and Quinton Potgieter (loose forward) in their midst.
Gimmies’ second clash of the tournament will be the main match on the final day against Durban High School.
