The Johannesburg side has already played one game at home this year, putting in a good performance but coming out on the wrong end of the result against Hoërskool Garsfontein‘s Bere in their first outing of the season last week.

They have, however, made quite a few changes for the clash against the Candies.

In the backline, the Jeppe coaches have made no less than five tactical changes. Lindelani Nkambule moves from fullback to outside centre, with Joel Akilo shifting from right-wing to the 15-jersey.

Kamva Mvinjelwa onto the right wing, with Ndimphiwe Mjiji shifting from inside centre to the left wing.

There is only one change among the forwards, with Mahlatse Memeza missing out. In his stead, Kuhle Shitlhangu will have an opportunity to impress the Jeppe coaches.

The visitors’ Tyler Mason will look forward to an enticing battle with his opposite number, Phano Letsie, at inside centre. Aldo Serfontein, the Cherries’ nippy scrumhalf will be eager to test the Jeppe defence, while PBHS eighth-man, Thando Thembe, will deliver a physical challenge with his robust carries.

St Benedict’s College is expecting a rugged challenge from the Grey and Blue of St Alban’s College. They meet on Bennies‘ home turf at 13:00, in Bedfordview. on Saturday.

The visitors will need to be wary of the educated boot and speed of the home side’s fullback, Samuel Sendwe. Alongside him, the solid defence of inside centre, Wade Ramsay,  will give St Benedict’s opportunities to turn defence into attack.

Much will be expected of the forwards from the Grey and Blue. Locks Keegan Dick and Aiden Gosling will want to light the fire in the pack to get a dangerous backline on the front foot.

Just behind them, the other Gosling, scrumhalf Everett Gosling, will be called upon to deliver quick, quality ball to flyhalf Gian Moolman and company.
