School Rugby Results – 20 May 2017
Selborne College ended an 21-year drought against Grey College on the rugbyfield in East London. Selborne defeated Grey by 20-19 thanks to a try by flyhalf, Tom Bursey, in the dying moments of the game. Witteberg also ended a long drought at home when they managed to beat Voortrekker in their annual FNB Classic Clash for the first time since 2006. Witteberg won the match 16-14.

Hannes Nienaber covered schools' rugby in South Africa for Volksblad, Beeld, and Rapport for 11 years. He also created the biggest school rugby website in South Africa - School of Rugby - back in 2007. It eventually morphed into Supersport Schools Plus. He still occasionally milks cows.
