Pumas announce their preliminary squad for Craven Week

The Pumas has named their preliminary squad for the annual Craven Week that will be hosted in George later this year.

The squad comprises of 27 players at this stage with only 23 that will make the trip down to the Garden Route.

They will face the Limpopo Blue Bulls in a match next week Tuesday which will also be used as trials.

Even players in the other squads that were named could still make it into the Craven Week squad.

Five players who represented the Pumas during the 2022-edition of the tournament in Cape Town have once again made the squad. They are Rowan Mitchelson (prop, Piet Retief), Tebogo Nkosi (prop, Hoërskool Middelburg), Ryan Venter (prop, Hoërskool Nelspruit), Tyron Moolman (centre, Secunda) and Tjaart Joubert (eighthman, Hoërskool Middelburg).

Joubert could form a very formidable loose trio combination with Hanré Hattingh (Secunda) and Loyiso Ngcobese (Piet Retief).
