SDC Noordvaal Cup Beker-eindstryde
Die SDC Noordvaal Cup is die oudste skolerugby-kompetisie in Suid-Afrika. Die kompetisie het sy ontstaan in 1920 toe spanne om die AG Robertson-beker meegeding het.
Dié kompetisie het sedertdien al ‘n paar keer ‘n naamverandering ondergaan. Vanaf 1922 tot en met 1981 het die reeks as die Administrateursbeker bekend gestaan, voordat dit van 1982 tot en met 1994 die Direkteurstrofee geheet het.
In 1995 het Beeld as die borg aan boord gekom en die kompetisie het tot en met 2017 as die Beeldtrofee bekend gestaan. Virseker het in 2016 saam met Beeld hande gevat as borg voordat die reeks in 2017 tot en met 2019 as die Virsekerbeker bekend gestaan het.

Hannes Nienaber covered schools' rugby in South Africa for Volksblad, Beeld, and Rapport for 11 years. He also created the biggest school rugby website in South Africa - School of Rugby - back in 2007. It eventually morphed into Supersport Schools Plus. He still occasionally milks cows.
