Grey College and Witteberg of Bethlehem will meet each other on the rugby field for the first time since their encounter in the final of the Free State’s Administrator’s Cup in 1998. The team from Bloemfontein won this match at Goble Park in Behtlehem by 24-6.

The two teams will play each other in a curtain raiser for the FNB Varsity Cup match between the Shimlas and Madibaz at Shimlapark in the City of Roses on 17 March. The match between the University of the Free State and the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University will be broadcasted live on SuperSport1.
