By Hannes Nienaber , in Rugby | News , at 2016-02-16

KESFestival2016The four newcomers at this year’s annual King Edward VII Easter Festival will provide the neccesary spark to ignite the 2016 edition of the festival.

Waterkloof, Jeppe Boys’ High, Marlow Landbou and St. Benedict’s College will be the four new kids on the block making appearances in 2016. Marlow Landbou from Cradock will make a comeback after missing out in 2015, but they did play at the 2014-edition. Both Jeppe Boys’ High and St. Benedict’s College’s last appearance at the Easter Festival was back in 2012.

The King Edward VII Easter Festival was first held in 2002. The hosts will meet Kingswood College of Grahamstown in the main match on Saturday. The curtain raiser for the main match between Jeppe Boys’ High and Waterkloof also promises to be one of the matches not to miss out on during the festival.

On the first day the main match between Eldoraigne of Pretoria and Jeppe also promises to produce some fireworks. KES will face Ben Vorster of Tzaneen and Northwood in their other two matches.
